The Way Back provides support for people who have recently attempted suicide or are experiencing a suicidal crisis, who live in South Western Sydney.
If you or a loved one has presented to Campbelltown or Liverpool Hospitals or SWSLHD Community based Mental Health Centres, following a suicide attempt The Way Back program can provide personalised aftercare support for up to three months.
Developed by Beyond Blue, The Way Back is a non-clinical support service focused on providing practical psychosocial support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or who have attempted suicide.
A Way Back Support Coordinator or Peer Support Worker will contact you within one working day of receiving the referral. Support Coordinators will engage with you while you are in hospital, and after discharge.

Referrals to this service are only accepted by staff from Campbelltown or Liverpool hospitals or South Western Sydney Community based Mental Health Teams. via the Online SWSPHN Mental Health Referral Form.
