No Wrong Door organisations come together to ensure that, regardless of which door a person enters through the system, they are supported to access an appropriate service to meet their needs.
No Wrong Door benefits from a wide range of organisation charter signatories
The No Wrong Door initiative brings together a diverse range of government, non-government and community managed organisations to achieve the mutual aim of reducing barriers and enhancing support for people experiencing a severe and persistent mental illness.
Organisations sign the No Wrong Door Mental Health Charter as a mutual agreement to ensure people who seek help for their mental health get support, regardless of the avenue chosen to request help.
There are 57 organisations who have signed the Mental Health Charter so far.
How it works
By signing the No Wrong Door Charter, organisations commit to an overarching approach built around recovery-oriented practice.
Supported by the No Wrong Door Framework, organisations proactively work towards:
- Addressing the barriers to social and service inclusion for people with complex mental health needs
- Ensuring people with complex mental health needs are supported with the right resources and skills
- Cooperate with services to support recovery
The Framework
The Framework is a set of self-paced interactive online modules to help No Wrong Door organisations enhance the implementation of the no wrong door philosophy and recovery-oriented approach. Organisations are encouraged to work through the self-paced modules and take time to review their practice, while tapping into additional resources and training.
