SWSPHN provides primary care practices with the tools and knowledge to provide culturally appropriate care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
Cultural responsiveness training offers practical advice for GPs and practice staff to have an active involvement in making their practices a place where First Nations people feel welcome and supported.
At the training sessions, GPs are provided with resources, such as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander/Australian flags, identification posters, 715 information, NSW Aboriginal Nation maps and a whole lot of other helpful and practical information and guidance to ensure practices can become culturally safe and responsive to the needs of Aboriginal people.
CPD training provides GPs with three Educational Activities hours
This RACGP training has been approved for both Cultural Awareness and Cultural Safety.
