Mental Health Service Navigator

For psychosocial advice and service recommendations in South Western Sydney

Knowing what help is available for people living with complex or persistent mental illness can be a stressful process. The Mental Health Service Navigator is a free initiative for community members and health professionals to simplify this process by linking people with local services and supports.


Personal and confidential professional support for community members

If you or a loved one are dealing with a severe mental illness, contact the Mental Health Service Navigator to discuss your circumstances with real people who have local knowledge.

The Mental Health Service Navigator will work with you to find the best services and supports to help improve your wellbeing by:

  • Determining what local clinical, psychosocial, and primary care support and services may be available to help you. This could include social groups, psychological therapy, mental health professionals, housing support, financial counselling, carer supports, or physical health needs.
  • Providing information, advice and referrals for other health professionals, the NDIS, or other state funded services.

The Mental Health Service Navigator collaborates with general practitioners and other key allied health professionals to provide up to date information and resources, and to improve referral pathways throughout South Western Sydney.

This service does not provide emergency responses or undertake long-term case management.
