How to register your practice and GPs for MyMedicare and make it easier to tailor services to fit the needs of your regular patients.
MyMedicare practice benefits
Registering for MyMedicare is voluntary, your practice gains access to:
Patient insights
Practices receive more information about regular patients, enabling tailored services that better meet patient needs.
Extended MBS-funded telephone calls
Patients can benefit from longer MBS-funded telephone calls (Levels C and D) with their usual general practice.
Triple bulk billing incentive
Patients under 16, pensioners, and concession card holders can receive a triple bulk billing incentive for longer MBS telehealth consultations (Levels C, D, and E).
Aged care incentive
Starting on 1 August 2024, practices can access the General Practice in Aged Care Incentive, supporting health assessments, care plans, and regular GP visits for residents of aged care homes.
Blended funding payments
These payments support enhanced community care for individuals with complex, chronic diseases who frequently visit hospitals. These arrangements will be progressively rolled out across the country from the 2024–25 financial year.
Chronic disease management
MyMedicare-linked Chronic Disease Management items become available from November 2024 to support patients with chronic and complex conditions. Patients not registered in MyMedicare can still receive these items from their usual GP.
