South Western Sydney PHN funds the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), TELUS Health, to support the health and wellbeing of all general practice staff who work in South Western Sydney, and their families, at no cost.
EAP for general practice staff
TELUS Health EAP provides you and your family with immediate and confidential help for work, health or life concerns. The service is available 24/7.
The program is a confidential and voluntary support service which can help you take the first step toward change. The service can help you find solutions to the challenges you face at any age and stage of life.
No cost
There is no cost to use your EAP. This program is provided to you by South Western Sydney PHN and can include a series of sessions with a mental health professional. If you need more specialised or longer-term support, TELUS Health can suggest an appropriate specialist or service best suited to your needs.
Confidential
TELUS Health EAP is completely confidential within the limits of the law. No one, including South Western Sydney PHN or your employer, will ever know you have used the program unless you choose to tell them.
SWSPHN only receives a quarterly report showing high-level data including the number of people who accessed the service and the number of sessions provided. Furthermore, the service is not linked to Medicare; no information is recorded outside of TELUS Health.
