Aim of meeting:
This CPD event brings together local healthcare providers to address barriers to multidisciplinary care and explore region-specific strategies for supporting children with ADHD more effectively. Grounded in real case studies, the session aims to build practical, collaborative approaches that reflect the realities of primary care in South Western Sydney.
The goal for this CPD event is to equip GPs and clinicians with actionable insights they can apply in their own practice, foster stronger interdisciplinary understanding, and ultimately improve care outcomes for children with ADHD.
Learning outcomes:
- Outline the local healthcare challenges of managing chronic conditions and multimorbidity in South Western Sydney.
- Define the distinct and complementary roles of healthcare professionals in collaborative management and coordination of multimorbidity.
- Identify practical, team-based strategies to overcome common barriers to multidisciplinary care, including communication breakdowns, professional silos, and misaligned goals.
- Outline locally relevant tools and approaches to support coordinated, patient-centred care in the South Western Sydney context.
