
The Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) is looking for nurses who work outside the four walls of a hospital and out in the community to host student nurses on clinical placements.
No previous experience supervising students is needed – just a passion for showing the next generation of nurses why primary healthcare is the place to be!

Best of all, you can earn up to $1,000 per placement for your workplace.

Program details and benefits
- students at all year levels of the Bachelor of Nursing and Diploma of Nursing program are required to complete clinical placement hours to gain practical experience in the field. APNA also place re-entry to practice nursing students and paramedicine
- the program runs year-round, with the flexibility to start or pause participation at any time. There is no minimum requirement for the number of students you host each year
- participation provides an opportunity to engage with and mentor emerging nursing talent, creating a potential pipeline for future recruitment
- APNA’s clinical and education team collaborates with you to ensure that your clinic and program scope align with the students’ learning requirements
- learning resources and guides are provided to support Supervising RNs, as well as ongoing support from APNA experienced clinical nurse educators
- students are fully covered by their education provider’s insurance
- APNA utilises InPlace to streamline student placement arrangements, providing you and your team with logins to access important information
- supervising RNs benefit from continuing professional development opportunities in mentorship, leadership and education
