Antenatal Shared Care (ANSC) is a program for GPs to enhance and provide consistent antenatal care to low-risk patients, allowing women with a low-risk pregnancy the option to receive a majority of their pregnancy care with their GP.
ANSC benefits
Continuity of care
Feel comfortable providing ongoing care throughout your patient’s pregnancy, and afterwards as their regular GP, with the ongoing support of the program’s Clinical Midwife Consultant (CMC) GP Liaison Officers.
Enhance your professional skillset
SWSPHN regularly facilitates Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for antenatal care. This supports the requirement to complete at least three hours of antenatal or postnatal specific CPD per year.
