Eligible general practices are invited to respond to a Request for Proposal (RFP) to establish a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic with Fairfield Local Government Area.
Procurement overview
South Western Sydney PHN is seeking to commission one existing general practice or community health centre in Fairfield LGA to be set up as a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic. The Fairfield Medicare Urgent Care Clinic will be one of 29 new federally-funded clinics opening across Australia. This builds on the 58 clinics already opened since July last year. In total, 87 Medicare Urgent Care Clinics will be open nationally. The Urgent Care Clinic program aims to ease the pressure on hospitals and give patients more options to see a healthcare professional when they have an urgent but not life-threatening need for care.
