If you are not eligible for Medicare, you can get proof of vaccination by signing up for an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI) through your myGov account.
YOu’ll need one of the following identification documents:
- Passport, with a valid Australian visa
- Australian driver licence.
These documents will be used to verify your identity and give you an IHI.
Follow these steps to get an IHI online:
- Sign in to myGov
- Select services or link your first service
- Select Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI) service from the list
- Follow the prompts to link the service.
