At the end of last year, SWSPHN funded two service providers to run community education sessions about COVID vaccinations to improve COVID related health outcomes and vaccination literacy for priority populations in South Western Sydney.
The services, CASS Care and Ethnic Community Services Co-operation (ECSC), were supported through SWSPHN funding to conduct and facilitate face-to-face workshops.
A combined total of 13 community forums were held, with 577 participants from Arabic, Afghani, Cambodian, Chinese, Greek, Indian, Indonesian, Pacifica, Malaysian, Nepalese, Somalian, French and other communities from our region.
The projects aimed to enhance the accessibility of vaccination services for vulnerable populations in South Western Sydney by addressing cultural barriers to understanding and accessing vaccinations.
