Last week, SWSPHN were pleased to have welcomed Dr Richard Hui and Dr Linus Chua from the National University Health System (NUHS) Singapore.
Drs Hui and Chua are GP Directors of the NUHS Primary Care Partnerships Regional Health System, servicing the western third of Singapore, with a catchment population of approximately 1.1 million residents.
Whilst visiting Sydney for this year’s World Organisation of National Colleges, Academies and Academic Associations of General Practitioners/Family Physicians (WONCA) conference, Drs Hui and Chua were keen to meet with local PHNs to share both learnings and experiences. They were particularly interested in discussing innovative approaches to delivering quality primary health care for culturally diverse and disadvantaged communities.
Key themes discussed included workforce development, integrated models of care, interoperability, practice incentives and community engagement.
