All general practice clinicians need to connect to the national Prescription Delivery Service (PDS) by 30 September to continue prescribing eligible medications.
The PDS is a centralised service which streamlines the delivery of prescriptions.

What practices need to do
Help your practice transition to the PDS by:
- registering your clinicians as soon as possible with the national PDS provider eRx Script Exchange
- checking with your software provider about any updates you may need to perform with your prescribing software
- contacting EPTransition@health.gov.au if you have questions about the electronic prescription policy or want to share your experience
