Since 2023 South Western Sydney PHN has subsidised the PainChek App for selected Tier three Residential Aged Care Homes within the region.
PainChek is a clinically validated pain assessment app, which uses AI technology to assess pain in people who are unable to self-report. By analysing facial muscle movements, the app helps identify and record pain levels, supporting better pain management in dementia care and aged care settings.
