Speech Pathology Australia is undertaking a national project to better understand the speech pathology workforce in Australia.
Why this research?
Priorities in the Speech Pathology Australia Strategic Plan 2020-2022 include:
- ensuring that the speech pathology workforce can respond to diverse communities
- developing an understanding of the workforce trends to identify strategies to support the profession now and into the future
- mapping current demands of the profession and future needs of the community
How to participate
Speech Pathology Australia has developed different surveys to capture the views of speech pathologists; employers of speech pathologists; and representatives of speech pathology service users.
Each survey contains a mixture of open ended and multiple-choice questions and takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Data protection and ethics
All responses are anonymous. No personal identifying information will be captured without your express consent. The data you provide will be provided to the association in the form of a report. The association will use the report to support and better respond to needs of the profession. Adherence to the association’s Privacy Policy and Privacy Act 1988.
