The team at SWSPHN is taking up the STEPtember challenge again this year, and you’re encouraged to join the fundraiser which makes a real difference to the lives of children and adults with cerebral palsy.

Last year we had 56 staff across 14 teams participating in the campaign, making an incredible 13,399,755 steps in four weeks and raising more than $2000. Staff improved their fitness, developed new healthy habits, enjoyed time with friends and workmates, and most importantly, raised money for a worthy cause.

STEPtember funds vital equipment, therapy and services, or money can be directed to fund ground-breaking research into the prevention of and cure for the life-long condition which affects body movement, muscle control, coordination and tone, reflex, posture and balance.

Participants can walk, swim, ride, wheel or spin their way to 10,000 steps per day for 28 days in a fun and safe environment. Best of all, as a virtual initiative, this can be completed anywhere, anytime.
