South Western Sydney PHN (SWSPHN) has echoed the Primary Health Network (PHN) Cooperative’s favourable response to recommendations from an independent review of the PHN program business model and mental health flexible funding stream.

The PHN Cooperative today welcomed the findings and recommendations of the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing’s Review of the PHN Business Model and Mental Health Flexible Funding Stream, conducted by Boston Consulting Group.

People struggling with dependence on alcohol and other drugs (AOD) now have access to a new service providing withdrawal and recovery support at home. South Western Sydney PHN (SWSPHN) is funding Clean Slate Clinic to deliver an at-home detox program for 50 clinically eligible clients from across the region.

People in South Western Sydney with, or at risk of, type 2 diabetes or heart disease now have access to a fully-funded healthy lifestyle program, with the recruitment of 12 allied health professionals to deliver the Healthy Eating Active Lifestyle (HEAL) program across all seven LGAs.

South Western Sydney PHN (SWSPHN) will fund mental health service provider Neami National to deliver Universal Aftercare services, under a bilateral agreement between the Australian and NSW governments.  

 

Young people living in South Western Sydney are benefiting from a new mental health support service, headspace Oran Park.

South Western Sydney PHN (SWSPHN) has funded Grand Pacific Health to deliver the service, designed to provide a safe and welcoming space for young people aged 12 to 25.
