The No Wrong Door initiative is commitment to mental health service collaboration in South Western Sydney.
No Wrong Door aims to enhance the experience of people seeking mental health support.
No Wrong Door unites various government, non-government, and community organisations to reduce barriers and enhance support for people with severe mental illness and their carers and families in South Western Sydney. Organisations commit to no wrong door and recovery-oriented principles by signing the Mental Health Charter.
The No Wrong Door initiative was created in response to community feedback about the challenges of navigating the mental health system. With this approach, individuals are supported to access the right services, no matter where they first seek help.
How it began
The No Wrong Door initiative was originally developed as a collaboration between long-time partners, South Western Sydney PHN and One Door Mental Health/South Western Sydney Partners in Recovery.
The initiative is now delivered by South Western Sydney PHN. The program is funded by the Australian Government.
