Expression of Interest - iRAD
South Western Sydney PHN (SWSPHN) is seeking interest from general practices in South Western Sydney to join iRAD.
- Do you find it difficult to access your patient’s information recorded at other care locations?
- Do you have many patients with low health literacy or who speak English as a second language?
- Do you find it difficult to read through written documents to find specific updates about your patient?
- Do you find it frustrating to follow up clinical information, pathology results, referral letters from care providers?
SWSPHN has looked into common pain points for GPs in South Western Sydney and localised a tool to help.
iRAD (Integrated Real-time Active Data) enhances access to patient health information for better informed clinical decision-making between hospitals, general practices, specialists and other connected healthcare professionals.
iRAD connects to Best Practice and MedicalDirector software, sharing identified patient information between iRAD care locations where the patient has consented. The consent process is easy to record and there is no ongoing effort to trigger sharing of clinical information. The iRAD widget (see image below), opens automatically on top of your patient record on MD or BP.
Minimum requirements:
- Practice Software is MedicalDirector 3 (version 3.17 or later) or Best Practice (Indigo or Jade version)
- Workstations/server meet minimum tech requirements (Windows 10 onwards, 2.8Ghz processor etc)
- Remote access software installation can be provided
- Practice operates in LGAs Fairfield, Campbelltown, Camden, Wollondilly or Wingecarribee
