The latest in trauma-informed awareness and support training is now available to general practitioners (GPs) and primary care providers in South Western Sydney with full reimbursement from SWSPHN for up to two courses completed.
Better recognise complex trauma and possible health presentations in your patients or clients.
Courses are provided by Blue Knot Foundation.
What you will learn
- information about wellbeing and self-care when working with clients who have complex trauma
- knowledge, skills and tools to better recognise early signs of various stress outcomes
- information about trauma, the impacts of trauma and the neurobiological responses which occur
- understanding of the key features of complex trauma which can present in your working relationships, and the resourcing and regulation to support you in your practice
Eligibility
- You must be a primary healthcare provider in the South Western Sydney LGAs of Bankstown, Camden, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Liverpool, Wingecarribee or Wollondilly
- You must work with people who have experienced trauma, further requirements are specified below

This includes, but is not limited to, GPs and practices nurses, allied health, mental health, alcohol and other drugs services, community, legal, justice, domestic and family violence, child protection, emergency, disability, housing, settlement and employment services.

Course dates

Training for individualsPlease note all virtual classrooms are facilitated on the Zoom platform.
Step 1: Submit an EOI
Complete up to two courses with full reimbursement complete this Expression of Interest (EOI):

Step 2: Register via the Blue Knot website
You will receive an email containing instructions on how to enrol into each course outlined in your EOI once it is submitted.
You will need to pay for the registration at the stage.
Step 3: Attend your training
Attend the training you have registered for.
Step 4: Submit your reimbursement request
Once you have completed your training submit the following:
- completed reimbursement form
- copy of invoice
- course completion certificate
You must provide all three items before Tuesday, 30 November 2025 for your reimbursement to be provided.
