Gout – from diagnosis to referral pathways and management

Aim:
The meeting aims to provide GPs with the latest information about gout using patients’ stories and case studies. It includes information about referral pathways and management from our Rheumatologist, Dietitian, Podiatrist and patients’ perspectives.

Learning outcomes:

  • Describe the pathophysiology, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, management (pharmacological and non-pharmacological) of gout.
  • Identify healthy dietary behaviours for patients with gout.
  • Outline podiatry tips for patients with gout.
  • Implement knowledge and skills related to gout management through discussions of case studies.
