Aim:
To enhance understanding of glucose monitoring in diabetes by exploring the principles, use, and interpretation of Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM), including its advantages and limitations compared to traditional methods such as self-monitoring of blood glucose and HbA1c.
Learning outcomes:
- Recognise the importance of glucose monitoring in diabetes.
- Identify the principles and use of Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) in diabetes.
- Recognise the advantages and disadvantages of CGM compared with self-monitoring of blood glucose and HbA1c.
- Identify and interpret the main parameters constituting the Ambulatory Glucose Profile (AGP)
