Beyond the C – Hepatitis C in primary care and case-finding

Join us in working towards the elimination of hepatitis C in Australia by 2030.  The webinar will cover an introduction to hepatitis C, including testing, treatment initiation, ongoing surveillance and monitoring, and a summary of hepatitis C clinical auditing and case-finding concepts in primary care. 

Learning Outcome 

  1. Identify priority populations for HCV screening and case finding in your practice. 
  2. Order and interpret tests appropriately to diagnose chronic HCV infection.
  3. Describe the recommended pre-treatment assessment.
  4. Demonstrate understanding of antiviral therapy for treatment of HCV. 
  5. Describe a process to recall patients into your practice for hepatitis C testing and care. 
  6. Identify available resources to support your practice in hepatitis C case finding.
