Aim:
Get an anaphylaxis update by understanding the latest clinical guidelines, the importance of dose and prompt administration of adrenaline, and learning how to use adrenaline autoinjectors.
At the end of this meeting, participants will be able to:
- Recognise that anaphylaxis is a medical emergency that requires immediate and urgent attention.
- Understand the different doses of adrenaline autoinjectors available and the weight range they are prescribed for.
- Know that anaphylaxis is unpredictable and confidently identify potential risk factors for patients, including co-factors, co-morbidities, unforeseen triggers, and unknown urgency and be able to educate on the same.
- Confidently demonstrate how to use an Adrenaline Autoinjector.
