A great opportunity to work full time or part time in a brand new General Practice in Gregory Hills. This practice is committed to providing individualised Health Care at the highest level. The practice is looking for experienced Medical Receptionists to work in a Part Time role for 20 hours a week across three days, in its boutique practice.

The Role:

We are seeking dynamic and dedicated Medical Receptionists to join our team, with potential to develop your skillset within our practice.

You will be working with a professional and supportive team, complying with the practice policies and procedures, all within an enjoyable and friendly work environment. Your role will consist of meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner. You will be taking telephone enquiries, scheduling patient consultations, invoicing and receipting, as well as attending to the needs of the Doctors and Practice Manager daily.

The Candidate:

To be eligible for this role you will:

  • Have experience in medical practice setting, preferably previous experience in General Practice setting.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality in regard to patient care in all aspects of the practice.
  • Attend to cleanliness of the practice.
  • Meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Have a keen eye for patient flow with the booking schedule, including informing patients of any delays of appointments.
  • Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently.
  • Have working knowledge of Windows based software systems (e.g. Word, Excel).
  • Have an understanding of the Medical Benefits Schedule and medical terminology.
  • Attend to infection control standards of the common areas of the practice as well as be an advocate for compliance with OHS and the practice Accreditation standards.
  • Be able to communicate and work productively within a team environment and ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
  • Able to attend to doctors and Sonographers requests in a timely manner.
  • Be able to identify any equipment faults and coordinate any repairs.

Desirable :

  • Experience with Best Practice billing software.

How to find out more/apply:

Must be flexible to cover an 8am-8pm Monday - Sunday roster, including public holidays.

Candidates will need to be able to cover the following hours on a 2 week rotating roster:

Week 1: Thurs from 8am - 3pm, Fri from 2pm - 8pm, Sat from 8am - 6pm

Week 2: Wed from 2pm - 8pm, Thurs from 8am - 3pm, Sun 8am - 4pm
